Tracklist
Tracklist is a piece of software developed and used by Livewire over the years. It was originally designed to play sound effects as WAV files from a PC, and that’s still its main use, but it’s also often used to play whole music tracks.
Tracklist is free to use, and you’re welcome to download a copy from here. We’d be grateful for a credit in your programme or whatever, but there’s no requirement for that. We do retain the copyright in the software, however — in particular, while you can use it as much as you like, you may not sell it. We’d prefer it if you didn’t give it away, either — it’s better to direct people to this page (www.tracklist.co.uk) and they can download the latest version themselves. We’re always happy to hear from people who use Tracklist, and if you’ve got any problems, we’ll try to help (we can’t supply sound effects, though). If you find something wrong with the software, we’ll try to fix it, but there are no guarantees — you need to make sure that it does what you want before your first night!
Tracklist
This is the main program to play sound files. Unless you know better, this is what you need.Current “released” program (version 1.5.45, March 2017) (Installation set, 2,848kB)
Support files
Unless you know you need these, you almost certainly don’t! Where these are needed by the program, they’re included in the installation set. They’re only here separately in case we need them to help you solve problems.
Current version (build 45) of the main Tracklist program (Executable only, to upgrade an existing installation, requires support files or an earlier build to have been installed already, 672kB)
Font (Digiface) (TTF font file, 41kB)
Old versions
These are old versions of the TrackList program, including the versions which tried to play video files, and communicated with remote players. Unless you’re already using one of these, and really need one of those features, we really suggest you use the latest version. In particular, those parts never worked well, and have now been removed, so if you do run into any problems with them, you’re on your own!
Installation set for the previous version (V1.3.27, December 2010) of the the main program, which plays sound effects, and can also control one or more "projectors" to drive additional speakers or video screens (Installation set, 2,413kB)
Previous version (V1.3.27, December 2010) of the the main program (Executable only, to overwrite an existing installation, requires an existing installation, 233 kB)
